Sixtine Daniélou's Project Through Pauline Cheyrouze's Photos

Sixtine Daniélou of the Synapses Architecture agency is based in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, France. The architect called on photographer Pauline Cheyrouze to highlight his flat renovation project. The client's request was to completely renovate the flat into a practical yet contemporary space. With this in mind, the architect has created colourful and design-oriented rooms by optimising space to the maximum. 

The architect had to design his renovation project with a huge corridor that runs through the flat. In order to waste as little space as possible, Sixtine Daniélou proposed a slim but lengthy entrance cabinet, just big enough to store the folding bike on top. 

As for the design of the room, the architect proposed very simple colours, except for one wall which has very colourful patterns. This highlights the strong character of the room from the start. Custom-made furniture was chosen to provide maximum storage in minimal spaces.   

The children's bedroom and bathroom have been designed to be practical and easy to use, while also creating a cosy and welcoming environment. 

The living room is the most important room in a home, as it is the room where we spend the most time. Here, the architect has once again chosen custom-made furniture with a splash of colour. A brick wall has been placed at the back of the room to create a depth effect.
